Proverbs 15:33 – The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
Anyone who knows me, they know that my favorite book of the Bible is Proverbs. I’ve always loved Proverbs because it is a book of wisdom. Proverbs gives practical instruction and it’s a book that you can use for everyday life.
But where does wisdom come from? How does someone become wise? Firstly, wisdom comes from God. God is the author of wisdom, and the more time you spend with God, the more wisdom you will have. Secondly, wisdom comes from experience. Over time, the more you live, the more you will learn from the mistakes of your past. When you make better decisions, it is because your experiences have impacted your decision-making skills. This is how you become an intelligent woman. Intelligence is not just about having book smarts. It’s not just about getting an A on every paper. Intelligence happens when you depend on God, and when you use the experiences of your past to shape your future.
Today, I want you to know that you are intelligent. You are amazing. When you walk into the room, a solution to a problem walks in with you. You are resourceful. When you give advice, people listen because you have something to say. As you continue to depend on God, know that God has given you wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence to help change the world
Lord, thank you for the gift of wisdom. Thank you for teaching me from the experiences of my past. Help me to trust you. Give me the boldness to be who you’ve called me to be. Today, I accept that I am intelligent. I am impactful. I am a blessing to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
