GRATEFULNESS

I pray you are having a magnificent week! Hooray, we have started another month. Therefore, flip the metaphoric and physical pages and rejoice!! Because, today is a brand new day! As David exclaimed, in Psalm 118, “Today is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it!” Kudos! Beloved, you made it!!

Although, someone may be saying, “Thank God,” I don’t look like what I have been through! Hey, that is alright too, continue to allow God to have His perfect way in your life. Allow him to rewrite your story. Always trust and believe that God has a “great” plan for your life. God, will never leave you nor forsake you.

During my devotional time, I am reading through the book of Psalms. As I meditated, pondered, and reflected, I found that the book of Psalms gives you the freedom to be emotionally honest with yourself and God. I came to this conclusion by following David’s example. During his times of extreme sorrow, hopelessness, anxiety, and pain – David was always truthful with himself and God. Even while his heart was breaking and his soul was perplexed, he never neglected to reflect on the faithfulness of God. David was always able to find joy and peace amid his despair by recalling God’s excellent track record. No matter how David felt or the words of frustration he uttered. He always brought his emotions and thoughts into submission. David reminded himself, and his troubles about the greatness of his God. Although David’s human emotions sometimes won, he would not let those emotions override his faith and trust in God’s love or the plan God had for him.

Beloved, be honest when sharing your feelings with others, yourself, and God. It is natural and healthy to convey your emotions. However, please, do not let your emotions define or control you. Pattern your conversations after David be sure to finish them with praise, thanksgiving, and gratitude in your heart and on your lips!

Refuse to allow the enemy to trick you into believing that God has abandoned you. The devil is a liar and the father of lies. God, will never leave you or forget about you! When the enemy comes with his trickery, rest in the confidence of God’s unfailing love for you. God’s hope, joy, and love are always all around you. When we take a few moments to open up natural eyes, we can appreciate the greatness of God in the birds singing, flowers blooming, and in the sun shining. God is faithful, merciful, and gracious regardless of the season or climate! Amen.

Beloved, stop giving your attention to what you think you lost! Start looking around you to see what you have and give God glory! Amen! You are blessed. Today is a new day, full of wonderful possibilities. Embrace, live, laugh, and smile today! You are loved and fathered from above. Stay encouraged! God is not through with you yet! When we learn to leave everything in God’s capable hands, we will begin to see God’s hand in everything. Beloved, thank God for protecting you from what you thought you wanted, and blessing you with what you didn’t even know you needed!

Always, rejoice in the Saviors love and

his precious promises specifically for you!
